To create my AI-enhanced resume, I used prompts that asked ChatGPT to tailor my resume toward a Business Information Systems and IT-related role. I focused on highlighting technical skills, system usage, and data-related experience. One of the prompts I used was: “Rewrite my resume for an entry-level IT or business analyst role, emphasizing systems, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.”

The main difference between my original resume and the AI-generated version is how my experience was framed. My original resume focused more on general responsibilities and customer service, while the AI version emphasized my use of systems, data handling, and operational efficiency. It also highlighted technical skills like SQL, Excel, and troubleshooting more clearly.

From this process, I learned that prompt engineering is important because small changes in wording can significantly impact the output. Being specific about the role and skills I wanted allowed the AI to better tailor my resume. This showed me how the same experience can be adapted for different industries, especially when targeting technical roles.
